I started running over the summer, some resistance training, and a Tony Little ab workout, my sister only knows that I run. She had done Jenny Craig years ago, then stopped because she had gotten into a car accident. On Jenny Craig she would eat more frequently, about every 3 hours. I eat 3 meals because I didn’t know better. She says that I’m not eating enough, and that I will be healthier by eating more frequently. I’m not too sure what too think, but I want to know what you think so far.
Today August 8th 2007:
Breakfast( i just came back from the beach so i needed sleep breakfast around 7:30): 1 cup cheerios; 1/2 cup non-fat lactose free milk(regular milk upsets my stomach)
snack(10:00): 1/2 of a banana
lunch(12:30): 1/2 of a banana on light style oatmeal bread and organic peanutbutter
snack(3:00 ish)all natural Motts applesauce 50 calories in 1 cup
dinner: 5:00 ish, not too sure what my mom will make but I will eat in moderation.
also I might go for a bike ride. Plz help!

It is generally considered to be better to eat several small meals a day, versus 3 large ones. If you eat 4 – 6 little meals, your metabolism stays in the high burning range for more hours a day because it’s constantly burning the food you eat…if you eat 3 meals a day, the break between each meal is long enough that your metabolism slows down for a while, before ramping up to process the next meal.
As for your diet, you need to get more protien in there than just the peanut butter…hopefully there’s something in your supper that’ll satisfy that.
