does raising my elliptical machine's resistance build muscle in my thighs instead of slimming?
Okay so i only have like 3 weeks of summer left so during the day i have a lot of time to work out (i’m 16). anyways i’ve been trying to slim down and tone, instead of bulking up, so i thought the elliptical would be good cardio, but by raising the resistance is it just making my thighs bulkier or will they get toned/smaller?
aw crap, i’ve been making my thighs bigger then…god damn
Moonbats Unhinged: When Liberals Attack
On November 17, 2005, a rag-tag band of leftists held a public protest at the Silver Spring, Maryland Armed Forces Recruiting Center. … all » Two local conservative activist groups, The DC Chapters of Protest Warrior (ProtestWarrior.com) and Free Republic (FreeRepublic.com) counter-protested the Leftists. I went to film both sides of the public protest. This video shows how the Leftists responded to an independent videographer’s filming their protest. They attacked. The conservative groups however, did not attack me.
How can I engage a 12 y.o. girl who "doesn't want to do anything" this summer?
My daughter is very bright and very creative (loves to draw/read/write). She actually reads too much and spends too much time in self-imposed solitude. She has trouble transitioning from one activity to another, to the point where she limits the activities that she’s willing to do. She’s also a musician (drums/flute) and on a travel soccer team during the school year. I know, it sounds like she is active and engaged, but in reality, she’s not. She can spend 6-8 hours a day reading/writing and no time with friends (she has a few, not too many). What I’m finding is that since it is easier for her to read than to socialize, she is taking the path of least resistance and not doing much. This summer is particularly difficult. She resists camp experiences, which leaves her along most of the time, and of course, I have to work and can’t leave her home all day long. Any insights?
Thanks!
